Jesus is the LAMB OF GOD!
OT – where is lamb?
NT – behold the lamb!
Present – Worthy is the lamb! That was slain for you and I!
When you put your trust in Christ, it’s like laying your hands on a pure lamb – a divine transfer takes place – you get all the righteousness, blessings, favor and acceptance that Jesus deserves, and Jesus becomes liable for all your sins. The lamb is then slain and the offerer walks away righteous.
When measuring you… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
When praying… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
When worshiping… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
When you sin… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
When you minister… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
When you deal with someone who has offended you or hurt you or wronged you… Are you Jesus conscious or Self conscious?
Heb. 12.2 (NKJV) looking unto Jesus (the lamb), the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus was a PERFECT sacrifice… This is important!
Lev. 22.21 (NKJV) And whoever offers a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it.
Hebrews 10:9-10,14 The Passion Translation (TPT)
9 And then he said, “God, I will be the One to go and do your will.” So by being the sacrifice that removes sin, he abolishes animal sacrifices[a] and replaces that entire system with the new covenant.[b] 10 By God’s will we have been purified and made holy once and for all[c] through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus, the Messiah!… 14 And by his one perfect sacrifice he made us perfectly holy[d] and complete for all time!
Therefore, as a Son I can come boldly to my father with a consciousness of Jesus (Lamb) not self!!!
Heb. 10:19-22 (PTP)
19 And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm—boldly and with no hesitation. 20 For he has dedicated a new,[i] life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him! 21 And since we now have a magnificent King-Priest to welcome us into God’s house, 22 we come closer to God and approach him[j] with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity and we have been freed from an accusing conscience and now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out![k]
