I truly believe if we are going to get through difficult seasons and be the OVERCOMERS that we ALREADY ARE we must come to believe WHO are Father really is…
Because Everything in life is driven by your PERCEPTION of God.
And I am here to simply remind you that,
…your Heavenly Father is always good.
…your Father always has your best in mind.
&
…Your Father is always setting you up to SUCCEED in Him.
Psa. 34.8 (NKJV) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
WE are to REST in Him and in His goodness… Circumstances are irrelevant when it comes to RESTing in God. No matter what you may be facing, REST is a promise that you can walk in 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Its ALWAYS available to you.
REST = to be unmoved, unhinged and in total peace regardless of circumstances.
Doesn’t mean there won’t be thoughts that come.
Picture
It’s something you practice.
Remember, this idea of Rest (trust) is 100% relational.
Knowing who he Is and knowing whose you are!
Ps. 23:4 (TPT)
4 Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace.[f] The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
The Key To EXPERIENCING Rest Is learning how to DWELL in God’s presence.
Psa. 91.1 (NKJV) He who DWELLS in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Dwell… To Sit, remain, to REST.
Shadow = covering between you and the trouble that you face.
HIS shadow doesn’t stop trouble but it does stop trouble from troubling you!
If you’re going to be protected in life, you’re going to have to learn to dwell ON God’s goodness and dwell IN His presence.
David declared,
Psa. 121:1 (nkjv) I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help?
Psa. 121:2 (nkjv) my help comes from the lord, who made heaven and earth.
The author of Ps. 91 goes on to say,
Psa. 91.2 (NKJV) I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Psa. 91.3 (NKJV) Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
Psa. 91.4 (NKJV) He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
Refuge = ‘to hide, to run beneath, to make your refuge in’
A buckler = was a little shield, but the sense of the translation is this: something that is surrounding all, protecting all overhead.
TPT
4 His massive arms[f] are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
Psa. 57.1 (NLT) Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until this violent storm is past.
The picture of a parent bird, or a mother hen, wooing its chicks and putting them in safety underneath her wings.
Charles Spurgeon Said…
“That if an uninspired man had given this designation to God, of being like a mother hen, we would have called it blasphemy”
Psa. 20:7 (nkjv) some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the lord our God.
Elohim = “God” as in the Creator: In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heaven and…
El Elyon = “God Most High”: And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine;…
El Roi = “God Who Sees”: Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her,…
El Shaddai = “God Almighty” or “God…
To the Sinner, He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
To the Worried, He’s the Prince of Peace.
To the broken, He Is comforter.
To the Downtrodden, He’s the Friend of Sinners.
To the Sick, He’s the Great Physician
To the Thirsty, He’s the Water of Life
To the Christian, He is our Christ who is our life, the Name above All Names, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Lover of our souls and the Redeemer of our Lives,
I want to show you something – a simple process that many of us battle daily when it comes to TRUSTING God.
REMEMBER ALL THE KINGDOM OF GOD
WORKS ON ONE THING – “BELIEVING”!
