Let me start off with a simple question this morning – do you believe what God believes about you?
Many of us still believe God Is only pleased by our perfection or our pursuit to be perfect!
This thought slapped me In the face this week –
You are no longer performing for God. This Is not an audition to keep Him loving you.
You may hear things I’ve said before but don’t tune me out. It Is Important to hear something again and again. And I try to say It differently but I personally believe Immersion of a thought leads to revelation. Peter even said,
2Pet. 1.12 (NKJV) For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.
I believe God is in the process of reshaping our lives by calling us up into our true Identity in Christ. In this process, He is deeply passionate about walking with us to restore our thinking and develop new mindsets that are rooted in His love for us.
Eph. 3.17 (NLT) And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.
Eph. 3.18 (NLT) And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.
Eph. 3.19 (NLT) May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Identity – 1. Who we are in Christ. (our present position) 2. How we are known in heaven. (our future destiny)
When you embrace your identity (Who you are in Christ & How you are known in heaven), you’ll begin to see the many promises and benefits that come with it.
Even though we have all grown up in this worlds system, which has fed and continues to feed our doubt, negativity, and unbelief, we have opportunities everyday to replace these thoughts and negative feelings with better ones, especially in regards to how God sees and thinks about us.
When God looks at you, He sees something different than what you see in the mirror.
God sees you COMPLETE in Christ. (as a new baby)
