Heb. 8.6 (NKJV) But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
Heb. 8.7 (NKJV) For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
Heb. 8.8 (NKJV) Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—
In the new covenant, God doesn’t see fault in you. (behavior vs identity)… He doesn’t see nor deal with your old man, but only relates to your new man. He sees you just as He sees His Son, Jesus.
Heb. 8.9 (NKJV) not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the LORD.
Heb. 8.10 (NKJV) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Heb. 8.11 (NKJV) None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, “Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
Heb. 8.12 (NKJV) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
Heb. 8.13 (NKJV) In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
THINK INTIMACY & THINK CONSCIENCE BEFORE GOD… (they go hand in hand)
After reading these verses I came away with this thought…
we are no longer under the weight/pressure of the law (to perform for God) But we are under the weight of His grace which empowers me to live the life He has called me to live.
Phil. 2.13 (NLT) For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.
With the New Covenant “sin” is no longer the issue… Believing is what he did on my behalf is…
Heb. 9.28 (NKJV) so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Function (Transactional Way Of Relating With God) Is Calling All Of Us…
Galatians 5:1-4 The Passion Translation (TPT)
1 Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
Free from what? The weight/pressure of the law (to perform for God)
2 I, Paul, tell you: If you think there is benefit in circumcision and Jewish regulations, then you’re acting as though Jesus the Anointed One is not enough. 3 I say it again emphatically: If you let yourselves be circumcised you are obliged to fulfill every single one of the commandments and regulations of the law!
4 If you want to be made holy by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from the Anointed One and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!
Relational Gospel (one of grace) vs the Functional Gospel (one of law) …
Gal. 3.1 (NLT) Oh, foolish Galatians! What magician has cast an evil spell on you? For you used to see the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death as clearly as though I had shown you a signboard with a picture of Christ dying on the cross.
Gal. 3.2 (NLT) Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you believed the message you heard about Christ.
Gal. 3.3 (NLT) Have you lost your senses? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?
Gal. 1.3 (NKJV) Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
Gal. 1.4 (NKJV) who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
Gal. 1.5 (NKJV) to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Gal. 1.6 (NKJV) I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
Gal. 1.7 (NKJV) which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal. 1.8 (NKJV) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
Gal. 1.9 (NKJV) As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
The New Covenant Is One of Grace…
Acts 20:32 The Passion Translation (TPT)
32 “And so now, I entrust you into God’s hands and the message of his grace,[a] which is all that you need to become strong.[b] All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of his grace, which he provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of his holy ones.[c]
A New Sheriff In Town… We are cleansed once & for All!
Heb. 9.9 (NKJV) It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience—
Heb. 9.10 (NKJV) concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.
Heb. 9.11 (NKJV) But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Heb. 9.12 (NKJV) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Heb. 9.13 (NKJV) For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
Heb. 9.14 (NKJV) how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Conscience… For the first time because of Christ and His shed blood the guilt was completely gone, and our conscience could rest easy. This refers to the positional truth because of the cleansing provided by the blood of Christ.
Cleanse… means to make clean by taking away an undesirable part. To cleanse from filth or impurity.
Acts 10.15 (NKJV) And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call unholy.”
Heb. 9.15 (NKJV) And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
