The liberation that Christ brings is real, its complete and its absolute! But each of us is in the process of coming into the fullness of our freedom.

Col. 2:3

For our spiritual wealth is in him, like hidden treasure waiting to be discovered—heaven’s wisdom and endless riches of revelation knowledge.

It’s not enough to merely get free. In order for it to become a lifestyle, we must learn how to enjoy and walk in the freedoms we come into.

The enemy will resist our freedom at every point, attempting to convince we are not indeed free and that what Christ has done is not enough to overcome your life situations. But let me remind you that he is a liar.

Don’t let him convince you that you are bound or that you are can’t break out of the cycle you find yourself in. Whether it is lust, anger, fear or addiction, don’t believe Him. But instead believe what God said –

John 8:32 –

32 For if you embrace the truth, it will release more freedom into your lives.”[a]

Empowering us to walk in our Freedom is very simple to God, yet we tend to complicate it by continuing to identify with and try and fix our old man (who we used to be outside of Christ)

Col. 3:5-11

Live as one who has died to every form of sexual sin and impurity. Live as one who died to diseases,[a] and desires for forbidden things,[b] including the desire for wealth, which is the essence of idol worship. When you live in these vices you ignite the anger of God against these acts of disobedience.[c]

7–8 That’s how you once behaved, characterized by your evil deeds. But now it’s time to eliminate them from your lives once and for all—anger, fits of rage, all forms of hatred,[d] cursing,[e] filthy speech, and lying.[f] Lay aside[g] your old Adam-self with its masquerade and disguise.

10 For you have acquired new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you; giving you the full revelation of God. 11 In this new creation life, your nationality makes no difference, or your ethnicity, education, or economic status—they matter nothing. For it is Christ that means everything as he lives in every one of us![h]
