Now What? – 1. Stepping into your Ministry

Title of my message is Now What? Once we begin to discover who God is and who we are, there is a very important mission God has given to each of us.

I’m excited & full Joy today. Not just for me. But mainly for all of you.

I am beginning to SEE & I LOVE what God is doing here. I see how He is and has been raising up His people who will step into the ministries the callings and giftings that He has placed within all of you.

I SEE Him inviting all of us into a place of greater intimacy and purpose.

Into a relationship of enjoyment!
Of delight.
& of promise.

He is calling you UP to your rightful place In Him!
He is speaking to WHO you are in Him. NOT to who you used to be or who you should’ve been by now.

Over the next three weeks I will prayerfully help guide you into the ministry and giftings God has given you.

But remember everything (Ministry included) is birthed from Relationship. Everything. The end goal of my message today is not your ministry. Its Knowing Your Heavenly Father more intimately. And from our knowing Him we then can serve Him faithfully.

I don’t minister for his approval, His love or His acceptance; I minister with His approval and in response to the security of His love.
At the onset of starting New Day I had a very enjoyable conversation with God regarding how I see His people and how I lead the work He gave us to do here at New Day.

PIT STOP vs. Garage

Ephesians 4:11-16 The Passion Translation (TPT)
11 And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists,[a] and some with grace to be pastors,[b] and some with grace to be teachers.[c] 12 And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.

16 For his “body” has been formed in his image and is closely joined together and constantly connected as one. And every member has been given divine gifts to contribute to the growth of all; and as these gifts operate effectively throughout the whole body, we are built up and made perfect in love.

Each of us (not just me) have a ministry to fulfill while we are here on earth. God is an advancer. Always moving forward. Advancing His kingdom taking back the ground the enemy stole. And desires to partner with us (His sons and daughters) to advance His kingdom. And therefore has given us a ministry along with His grace and anointing to do His work on His behalf.

What a honor and a joy it is to serve our Father’s will.

Let’s look for a moment at two passages that will help lay a foundation of what I am attempting to communicate to you!

Col. 4.17 (NKJV) And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

2Tim. 4.5 (NKJV) But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

MINISTRY – How we will serve God’s people (both believer and the lost). ministry was & is a gift from God. ministry is not something we seek, but something God gives (received in the Lord). Ministry is not something we do for God; it is something God does in and through us. The end goal is transformation of people!

Two types – Specific assignment & Daily opportunities.

RECEIVE – Responsibility and accountability.
We are stewards of the work God has given us to do. And if the Lord gave you a ministry/work to do, the Lord will also help you carry it out in the right way. But He wants a return on His partnership.

FROM GOD – You don’t just make it up. He is the initiator of what He has for you to do.

FULFILL – faithfully finish the work, assignment, calling on your life.

YOUR – Not, “Fulfill my ministry.” But, “You have your own calling from God.”

God is calling you UP, He’s not in the business of calling you OUT.

Calling you up into your IDENTITY. I’m a child of God.
Calling you up into your MINISTRY. I have an assignment from God.
Calling you up into His ABILITY. I can do all things through Christ.

Ministry always comes from identity otherwise ministry will become your identity. (it happened to me)
