This morning I am filled with High expectations of what God is attempting to infuse into our community. I believe He is and has been taking all of us on a journey of discovery – of Who He is and how we can best represent Him to all those we interact with and rub shoulders with each and every day.
My hope is that the pressure to perform, to earn and or to impress God is lifting from your life. And you are beginning to learn how to simply ENJOY God. To seek Him not because of what happens if you don’t, but because you are starting to realize that He longs for a relationship with you. That He actually delights in you. That He has Joy when he thinks about you.
He is relentless in LOVING you and has done everything to set you up for success with Him.
God Desires To Transform His People… Everyone Of Us… From A People Who “Try To Earn” His Love To A People Who “Live In Response” To His Love…
I realize more than ever that there are some who actually don’t believe God loves them. Or let me say it like this, “they don’t believe God can or wants to love them” This is important to know when sharing Jesus with others.
Today, we begin a new series called RELENTLESS – with the hopes of learning how to transmit God’s LOVE wherever you go.
I am NOT up here telling you – DO THIS for people OR DO THAT. BE NICE TO PEOPLE. DO GOOD THINGS FOR PEOPLE. DON’T BE MEAN TOWARD OTHERS, etc..
I hope you realize as we have learned over the last two months – LOVING others is relational before its functional.
This message of LOVE is not about what you need to DO or how you need to ACT, but it has everything to do with CATCHING God’s heart for you and His heart for people.
Ultimately, yes love is ACTION. There is always this contention between BEING and DOING. My prayer is that BEING takes precedence in your life. Because of your being will lead you to DOing.
First and foremost having a LOVE for others stems from RECEIVING God’s Love and then allowing yourself to be a conduit of that LOVE wherever you go.
Just like this pipe, we were never meant to keep it all for ourselves!
