As the colt was a symbol of SERVICE… Jesus came to SERVE by carrying the burden of mankind…

The burden was/is sin… the word for “sin” comes from the word which means: a duct or canal by which water flows down to any place.
It was understood in ancient times to be a collection of mud and muck brought down through the canal by the waters, causing the waters to be bitter, contaminated, and unfit for human use.
In modern times, it would be like raw sewage and toxic waste flowing into a river of pure water and contaminating it.
Sin penetrated the bloodstream of mankind and corrupted the thoughts, desires, passions, and life of every living man or woman on earth…
Heb. 2:17 (nkjv) therefore, in all things he had to be made like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to god, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
Heb. 2:18 (nkjv) for in that he himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to aid those who are tempted.
Heb. 4:15 (nkjv) for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Heb. 4:16 (nkjv) let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
