God ALWAYS relates to me through Christ, not according to how I feel about Him.
You always know where you are with God. Because He never changes. There is only security in who God is TOWARD you.
God is not trying to fix your old man. He is trying to convince you (by His Spirit) of your New man.
Col. 1.19 (NKJV) For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
Col. 1.20 (NKJV) and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
Col. 1.21 (NKJV) And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
Col. 1.22 (NKJV) in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
Col. 2.10 (NKJV) and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
God is not looking for me to impress Him with my faith, but to simply TRUST Him because He is faithful.
Gen. 22.1 (NKJV) Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” ¶ And he said, “Here I am.”
Gen. 22.2 (NKJV) Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Gen. 22.3 (NKJV) So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
Gen. 22.4 (NKJV) Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off.
Gen. 22.5 (NKJV) And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
