Its time, Today, to officially close the door on 2018. And allow God to mold us, to upgrade us and to pursue us in 2019. I had this picture of us stepping into 2019. Like someone entering into a brand new custom built home.

As I mentioned last week, I believe we all could use a spiritual adjustment at times to help get us realigned with our Heavenly Father and the purpose He has given to us. Because Life has a way of moving us off of the place where we need to be with God. Back to being In Proper Alignment.

And that’s why I love the start of a new year.

A new year gives all of us an opportunity for a fresh start.
To SEE things from a new perspective.
To start with a clean slate.
To embrace a new adventure.
To have a new mindset.

Heb. 13.20 (NLT) And now, may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, EQUIP you with all you need for doing his will. May he PRODUCE in you, through the POWER of Jesus Christ, all that is pleasing to him. Jesus is the great Shepherd of the sheep by an everlasting covenant, signed with his blood. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

One of the things I so love about God is that He always meets us right where are. And He is always willing to speak to us if we will just take a moment and listen to His voice!!! I truly believe, If He doesn’t speak initially, He will speak eventually.

This morning I want to dive a bit deeper into what God wants to do for us in this NEW YEAR. It’s A year of total and complete ACCESS.

Access to His presence.
Access to His grace.
Access to His Favor and goodness.
And access to His PROMISES.

2Pet. 1.3 (NKJV) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
2Pet. 1.4 (NKJV) by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

What promises are you In the mode of believing and receiving?

Remember In Gods kingdom you receive by believing.

Some read once and say I believe. That’s not believing

These PROMISES you believe can literally change the trajectory of your life!

A NEW YEAR comes with a NEW sense of PURPOSE. Filled with New PROMISES & a new POWER to walk this life out. And when embraced it can cause you to make a profound impact on society and those who walk through life with you.

A New YEAR (2019) is filled with NEW PROMISES waiting for us to go after and GET them.

No matter the situation you face. Practice asking God – what promise, upgrade do you have for me in the midst of my circumstance?

Every TRIAL comes with a promise of PATIENCE.
Every LOSS comes with a promise of COMFORT.
Every HURT comes with a promise of HEALING.
Every LACK comes with a promise of PROVISION.
Every SETBACK comes with a promise of a PROMOTION.
Every WORRY comes with a promise of PEACE.
Every FEAR comes with a promise of FAITHFULNESS.
Every ADDICTION comes with a promise of FREEDOM.

Before we move on… I want to remind you –
1. God is always GOOD!!!
2. He always has your best in mind.
3. He is setting you up to succeed in Him.

Psa. 34:8 (Nkjv) Oh, Taste And See That The Lord Is Good; Blessed Is The Man Who Trusts In Him!

Psa. 34:8 (Message) Open Your Mouth And Taste, Open Your Eyes And See—How Good God Is. Blessed Are You Who Run To Him.

“Taste” Means… To Partake And Experience, To Come To Know And Enjoy By Tasting.

“See” Means… To Look Upon, To Inspect, To See With Delight, To Look Upon With Pleasure…

It’s time we allow God to realign us so we can fulfill the work He has given us to do.

Eph. 2.10 (NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4:11-12 (TPT)
11 And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists,[f] and some with grace to be pastors,[g] and some with grace to be teachers.[h] 12 And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.

There are 3 Ways God realigns us back to Who He is for us and Who we are to Him. To get us back on track. To help us fulfill the mission, purpose and gifts that have been freely given to us.

1. New Perspective. (to See what He sees)
2. New Mindset. (to Think how He thinks)
3. New Language. (to Speak like He speaks)

He’s Realigning us to A New Perspective. You can NOW view life from a New Place.

Mountain vs mountain top

Problems to possibilities.

God
Self
Others
Problems

Father how do you see this ______________?

Eph. 2.6 (NKJV) and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

2Corithians 4:17-18 (TPT)
17 We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, 18 because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.

With a new perspective…
• Problems are now possibilities.
• Enemies are people I can practice love on.
• Challenging People are God’s training ground for patience.
• Setbacks are just a set up for a comeback.
• Struggle is just part of the journey getting me ready for what God has for me.
• Pressure is forming the diamond in me.
• Fire and testing are perfecting me.

It’s a lifestyle of walking by faith and not by sight.

He’s Realigning us to A New Mindset. You now have access to God’s Way of thinking. His thoughts are made available to us.

Eternity focused – Jesus said rejoice.
Favor focused

Romans 12:2 (TPT)
2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you,[a] but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (TPT)
22 And he has taught you to let go of the lifestyle of the ancient man,[n] the old self – life, which was corrupted by sinful and deceitful desires that spring from delusions. 23 Now it’s time to be made new by every revelation that’s been given to you.[o] 24 And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with him! For God has re-created you all over again in his perfect righteousness, and you now belong to him in the realm of true holiness.

Realigning us to A New Language. One that resembles your father and not your old nature.

One of a victor and one who has authority.

Negativity has no more voice. We speak Possibility.
Hatred has no more voice. We speak love.
Gossip has no more voice. We speak edification.
Complaining has no more voice. We speak thanksgiving.
Worry has no more voice. We speak peace and rest.
Fear has no more voice. We speak faith and hope.

Ephesians 4:29 (TPT)
29 And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts[q] that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.

2Cor. 4:7-9 (TPT)
7 We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that the extraordinary overflow of power will be seen as God’s, not ours.[h] 8 Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option.[i] 9 We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.
