Imagine life for a moment through the eyes of Jesus.
A man who didn’t worry,
who didn’t freak out when negativity hit his life and
one who was not moved by the accusations and hurts of others

There is one secret to the life of Jesus – He lived a life responding to His Father.

He said,
John 5.16 (NKJV) For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
John 5.17 (NKJV) But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
John 5.18 (NKJV) Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
John 5.19 (NKJV) Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
John 5.20 (NKJV) For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

Each of us in this room are on a journey with our Heavenly Father. It is NOT a journey of destination but one of DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT.

He is growing us individually and collective into His people who are called by His name who represent Him wherever we go.

God is developing us into His people.
A chosen people.
A royal people.
A holy people.
A special people.

No one here is at a disadvantage in God’s kingdom. Therefore no one is at a disadvantage in this life. To think otherwise is contrary to kingdom thinking. You have access to all of God’s favor!!! His bias and advantage toward you!

He is relentless in pursuing you and has done everything to set you up for success with a relationship with Him.

access.
forgiveness.
redemption.
freedom.
He has given you His Word.
He has shed His sons blood for you.
He has released His Spirit in you and upon you.
He has made available His Wisdom.

He is transforming us into mature Sons and daughters and ridding all of us of an orphan mindset that lingers with so many.

SELF PROVISION
SELF PROTECTION
SELF PROMOTION
SELF PRESERVATION

Mark 8.34 (NKJV) When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

I deny myself the right to RESPOND to anyone or anything other than what God has spoken and what Jesus has done on my behalf…

God’s ways are not our ways.

Faith is responding. Not initiating. God is always the initiator. Always!

A Life of Faith is ME responding to HIM –
To WHO He is.
to what He has spoken.
to what He has done for me through Christ.

Let’s look at 3 responses…
Dan. 3.16 (NKJV) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
Dan. 3.17 (NKJV) If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
Dan. 3.18 (NKJV) But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

Mark 5.35 (NKJV) While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
Mark 5.36 (NKJV) As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”

1Cor. 4.11 (NKJV) To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless.
1Cor. 4.12 (NKJV) And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;
1Cor. 4.13 (NKJV) being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

Faith is a perspective knowing…
God is always good.
God always has our best in mind.
God is always setting us up to succeed.

IF TRUE… HOW WOULD I REPSOND?

Psa. 46.10 (NKJV) Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

We’re not trying to have faith. Faith is the result of knowing Him.

And this is why Solomon can exhort us when He said,
Prov. 3.5 (NKJV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Prov. 3.6 (NKJV) In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Remember a life of FAITH is relational. It’s all about relationship. It has NOTHING to do with circumstances. And everything to do with Who God is for you and who you are to Him.

Every situation and Negative circumstance has an attachment of God’s promise with it!

Think about an email that said “You are fired” but attached was an offer for a better paying job closer to home that you would be good at. That’s how faith sees life.

Rom. 8:28 (nkjv) and we know that all things work together for good to those who love god, to those who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 (TPT)
28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.
