Many of you here today are struggling to trust God and Let go of the cares, the worries, the plans, and the trying to “figure it all out” stress…
Today God is going to meet you right where you are.
This morning I hope to share a little bit about a wonderful God I have come to personally know. I am not going to share about something I read in a book about Him, but I do want to share my heart about the God I have come to know.
And The more I discover about God the more in love I become with Him. Our Heavenly Father is the most gracious, loving, kind, forgiving sweet amazing being. No one compares. Not even close.
Think about the most Loving or kind or patient person…
The truth of who God really is and what He is really like, will set us free to have incredible experiences of Him.
Never forget, God is relational before functional.
Which means…
His PLEASURE toward you is 1st relational before functional.
His DELIGHT in you is 1st relational before functional.
His FAVOR for you is 1st relational before functional.
There are many ways that Satan uses to try to keep us from fully receiving God’s Love. One of the most subtle, and therefore the most deadly ways is that he has deceived us into thinking that God’s love for us is tied to our performance or function for Him.
My Trust In God is based Upon my relationship to Him. Who He is to me and who I am to Him.
The more I know the truth about God the easier it is to simply trust Him no matter the circumstance.
My trust toward God is rooted in Knowing and believing His Love for me.
Gal. 5.6 (NKJV) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
love is the driving force behind our faith. Remove or diminish love, and faith ceases to be what it should be. Many of us try hard to believe when we should be seeking a greater revelation of God’s love for us. Then, faith would just naturally work.
When I am trusting God I am simply responding to His good nature –
He is always good,
He always has my best in mind and
He is always setting me up to Succeed in Him.
Luke 12.32 (NKJV) “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
a deep revelation of God’s love for us is the most important thing we can receive.
Eph. 3.17 (NKJV) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph. 3.18 (NKJV) may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—
Eph. 3.19 (NKJV) to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Trust = my proper response to my father’s love that allows me to follow his leading regardless of the cost or my ability to understand why…

A Shepherd Is A Manager And A Caretaker. He Is The Owner Of His Sheep…And He Loves Them.

Psa. 23:3 (Nkjv) He Restores My Soul; He Leads Me In The Paths Of Righteousness For His Name’s Sake.
One thing i learned is that a shepherd marks his sheep with an instrument called a “killing knife.” He makes a distinct mark in their ear that identifies them as his own and cares for them almost like children.
Marked By The Holy Spirit…
As Christians We Are “Marked” By The Holy Spirit. In Much The Same Way, Many Of The Trials And Tests We Go Through Can Be Quite Painful While “Killing” off “self”. However, The Holy Spirit Knows What He Is Doing In Us Is Working Toward Our Spiritual Maturity.
You May wander or even fall But like any good shepherd He will Pick You Up…
Psa. 37:23 (Nkjv) The Steps Of A Good Man Are Ordered By The Lord, And He Delights In His Way.
Psa. 37:24 (Nkjv) Though He Fall, He Shall Not Be Utterly Cast Down; For The Lord Upholds Him With His Hand.
When you are weak you can Trust that His Grace is sufficient
When you feel rejected you can Trust that He has accepted You.
When you feel lost You can Trust Him To Lead & Guide you.
When you feel alone You can Trust Him To Care for you.
When you don’t know who to turn to You Can Trust Him to be with you.
When you are fearful you can trust Him to give you the courage to take a step.
When you are hurt you can trust Him to comfort You.
When you can’t walk anymore You can trust Him to carry you through.
When you are ready to give up you can trust Him to empower you.
When you are have no one to lean on you can trust Him to be your rock.
